As a culmination of its efforts in the field of health awareness, the College of Health and Medical Technology at Al-Ayen University, represented by the Medical Laboratory Technology Department, continued the activities of the second day of "Breast Cancer Early Detection Week." Held under the patronage of the University Chancellor Prof. Dr. Haider A. Marhoon, the event is part of the activities of the Challenge Month (October) to raise awareness of breast cancer.
The activities of this day complemented the joint awareness-raising efforts with the Dhi Qar Health Department and the University's Continuing Education Department, aiming to raise awareness of the importance of early detection among university members and students.
The second day of the week focused on direct communication and providing practical guidance. Activities included a widespread distribution campaign of a large number of brochures and educational leaflets explaining the correct steps for performing a breast self-examination and emphasizing the importance of regular screening as the first line of defense to increase the chances of recovery.
The Deanship of the College of Medical Technology confirmed that these activities are part of a series of ongoing awareness-raising events running throughout the week to raise community awareness of the importance of early detection and support national efforts to combat breast cancer.
