Prof. Dr. Jabbar Abbas Ahmed Al-Saadi, Deputy Dean for Scientific Affairs, has published a global scientific study in collaboration with researchers from the Universities of Babylon and Basra in the Journal of Cluster Science, a subsidiary of the prestigious Springer Nature publishing house and ranked in the first quartile (Q1) of Scopus (one of the best international journals).

The study presents an innovative method using nanofibers loaded with garlic extract to treat hydatid disease, a serious parasitic disease that affects the liver and lungs of humans and animals and is caused by small worms. Conventional treatment for hydatid disease is often surgical or with medications of limited effectiveness.

This achievement reflects Al-Ayen University, Iraq's position in supporting innovative scientific research and providing safer medical solutions that serve human and community health.
