His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi inaugurated the Teaching Hospital of Al-Ayen University at the College of Medicine Dhi Qar Province.
He stressed in his speech during the official ceremony that the opening of the Al-Ayen University Teaching Hospital will support the medical education environment in Iraq with an important qualitative addition and will give momentous to the diligent work to develop the environment of specialized services in medical colleges in Iraq and provide what the community aspires to in terms of direct scientific impact, noting that these efforts will contribute to finding solutions to challenges and push towards strengthening the health sector environment in Iraq.
The Minister of Education added that this important achievement is added to the index of achievements made in two years of the Iraqi government and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in terms of internationalizing higher education, linking academic programs with global variables, securing the path of the Iraqi certificate, international recognition of the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges, increasing the balance of Iraqi scientific research in Scopus, and attracting international students to Iraqi universities.
The opening ceremony witnessed speeches by the Chancellor of Al-Ayen Iraqi University and the Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for the Inspection of University Teaching Hospitals, while Dr. Al-Aboudi toured the hospital’s corridors, viewing its medical and technical departments, laboratories, outpatient clinics, operating environment, and educational facilities that provide practical training for students in various medical and health specialties
