On Sunday, November 10, 2024, the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Al-Ayen Iraqi University organized a cultural visit to the ancient city of Ur, which is one of the most prominent historical sites in Iraq, in addition to a visit to the Sumerian Theater.
This visit aims to enhance cultural and historical awareness among students by exploring the Sumerian civilization and its contributions to the development of humanity.
During the visit, students viewed the famous Ziggurat of Ur, which is a symbol of the engineering genius of the Sumerian civilization, and learned about the Sumerian Theater, which reflects the extent of cultural and artistic development.
This visit is one of the student activities that the department seeks to organize with the aim of linking scientific and cultural aspects, and enhancing students' belonging to their ancient history, which is positively reflected in their personalities and academic career.
