Al-Ayen Iraqi University and its Teaching Hospital are designed and operated in alignment with sustainable standards. The buildings incorporate multiple sustainability features, including:
1. Energy-efficient façades with reflective glass curtain walls that minimize heat gain and enhance thermal performance, reducing overall energy consumption.
2. Modern construction materials such as composite panels and advanced glazing systems that improve insulation and airtightness for higher energy efficiency.
3. Smart infrastructure integration, including intelligent water pumps and smart emergency lighting systems, contributing to optimized energy and resource management.
4. Urban site integration, utilizing previously developed land and existing infrastructure to promote sustainable land use and minimize environmental impact.
These measures collectively reflect the university’s commitment to environmentally responsible design and operations consistent with sustainability criteria.
