Within the framework of strengthening scientific and academic cooperation between universities and educational institutions, the College of Engineering at Al-Ayen Iraqi University, represented by the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering, held a specialized scientific workshop organized by the Dhi Qar Technical College on the application of artificial intelligence technologies in cybersecurity.
The delegation from the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering at Al-Ayen University was received by Prof. Dr. Hussein Toukan, Dean of the College. Students from the department presented a scientific workshop in the Cybersecurity Engineering Department, addressing ways to employ artificial intelligence technologies in protecting digital systems, enhancing cybersecurity frameworks, and early detection of threats and security vulnerabilities.
The workshop aimed to demonstrate the dual role of artificial intelligence in cyberspace, explaining its use as an advanced offensive tool on the one hand, and as an effective defensive tool on the other, in detecting and countering complex cyberattacks, thus contributing to enhancing information security and protecting digital infrastructure.
The workshop was conducted by students from the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Department at Al-Ain University in Iraq, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Abdulhadi Daij, and with the participation of lecturer Abbas Abdulali, representing the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Sarmad Kadhim.
This participation reflects the College of Engineering at Al-Ain University's commitment to supporting collaborative scientific activities, enhancing students' practical and research skills, and fostering engagement with rigorous academic experiences, all in line with the requirements of digital transformation and the development of engineering education.
