Students from the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Department at Al-Ayen Iraqi University visited Al-Hawraa Vocational Preparatory School for Girls in Dhi Qar Province as part of an awareness initiative aimed at promoting digital literacy among school students and highlighting the role of modern technology in supporting the educational process.
The visit included an introductory presentation on the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and the workings of smart systems. The students also explained how AI tools can be used as educational resources to help students understand lessons and enhance their skills in an interactive and advanced way.
The student team also presented a practical demonstration of one of their projects, Pharmacy-X, which converts handwritten prescriptions into clear instructions for dispensing medication. This project aimed to illustrate the real-world applications of smart technologies in serving the community and improving the quality of services.
The visit was met with positive feedback from the students, underscoring the importance of such initiatives in fostering digital literacy and encouraging the younger generation to pursue future-oriented fields of study.
This event is part of the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Department's programs to enhance its community role and spread scientific and technological awareness in educational institutions, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), which calls for providing modern learning opportunities based on knowledge and technology.
