The research grant program is open to eligible academic and research staff who meet the following criteria:
Full-Time Faculty Members
Applicants must be full-time academic staff affiliated with the university (assistant, associate, or full professor).
Researchers Affiliated with Research Centers or Institutes
Researchers who are officially affiliated with university-recognized research centers or units may apply, with institutional support.
Principal Investigator (PI) Requirements
The applicant must serve as the Principal Investigator (PI) for the proposed project.
The PI must not have unresolved reports or pending deliverables from previous grants.
Collaborative Teams (Optional)
Research teams are welcome but must designate one PI.
Team members may include co-investigators, postdocs, or graduate students.
Students
Graduate students may be included as research assistants but cannot apply as PI.
Ethical Approval
Projects involving human subjects, animals, or sensitive data must secure ethical clearance before fund disbursement.
Part-time faculty or adjunct lecturers
Visiting researchers without formal university affiliation
Undergraduate students as lead investigators
Individuals with overdue reports from past funded projects
