Under the patronage of the Chancellor of Al-Ayen Iraqi University Prof. Dr. Haider A. Marhoun, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education Prof. Dr. Hussein Al-Husseini, the College of Education, organized a scientific lecture on October 25, 2025, as part of the Visiting Professor Program entitled "Femtosecond Fiber Lasers: Design Strategies and Application Visions."
The lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Hani Jassim Kabashi from Aston University in the UK. He discussed the latest developments in the field of femtosecond fiber lasers and their role in scientific, medical, and industrial applications, particularly in fifth-generation (5G) communications systems and lidar sensorsself-driving cars.
The lecture was attended by Prof. Dr. Imad A. Al-Mousawi Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Dhi Qar, Dr. Adnan H. Al-Rikabi Deputy Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Muhammad Nazzal Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Musa Muhammad Mahdi Head of the Physics Department and Dr. Faisal A. Awda Head of the Art Education Department at the College of Education at Al-Ayen Iraqi University, and a number of faculty members and students.
