The College of Engineering at Al-Ayen Iraqi University extends its warmest congratulations to Asst. lecturer Abbas Abdul-Ali on winning the Iraqi Writers Union Award for his poetry collection (A Thirsty Cliff Embracing the River).
He was honored in the capital, Baghdad, at the (Jawahiriyyun) Festival, held under the patronage of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, and attended by a group of writers and intellectuals from inside and outside Iraq.
This win comes in recognition of his literary creativity and distinguished contributions to the cultural scene. We wish him continued success and further success in his literary and academic career.
