The President of Al-Ayen University, Prof. Dr. Shafik Sh. Al-Mawla, received, on Sunday, October 30, 2022, the Director of Nasiriyah Reformatory Prison for Light Sentences, Dr. Hashem Kh. Al-Hamidawi, his assistant the assistant teacher Diaa A. Al-Nasrallah, and the director of the Office of the Human Rights Commission in Dhi Qar Dakhil A. Shinawa, and members of the criminal justice file team headed by Nazzal N. Nazzal, Sahar J. Khalaf and Ahmed A. Ali.
The meeting was attended by the Vice-President of the University for Scientific Affairs Asst. Prof. Dr. Haider A. Marhoon, Vice-President of the University for Administrative Affairs Asst. Prof. Dr. Atheer Y. Odeh, the Secretary of the University Council and a member of the CBRN Committee Asst. Prof. Muhammad Q. Al-Khuzaie and the Deputy Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies Dr. Maytham T. Al-Moussawi. And the Head of the Women's Rights Unit and Director of the Continuing Education Center at the university, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abeer A. Ibrahim.
The mechanism of joint cooperation between institutions was discussed to exercise the reformist role for inmates, which does not fall on the institutions of the Ministry of Justice only, but also public and private sector institutions participation, as Al-Ayen University previously has contributed to providing free scholarships to inmates and the university is moving forward in providing these grants, and the meeting resulted in For coordination to hold educational and scientific lectures, workshops and symposia by the university, the correctional department and the office of the Human Rights Commission in Dhi Qar.
