The Student Activities Dep. at Al-Ayen University in cooperation with the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Difference held the First Forum for General Safety and the Security of Scientific Laboratories on Monday 10/1/2022. Under the slogan ( the role of CBRN in the community) at the University Conference Hall.
The axes of the forum started with the first Lecture by Prof. Dr. Falah Hasan Hussein from the College of Pharmacy / Babylon University and the Second lecture by Dr. Jabbar Mahdy Rashid from College of Sciences / Thi-Qar University, within the first day of the forum
The second day of the Forum witnessed a lecture entitled "Basic Axes of Safety Rules for Chemical and Biological Security in Educational Laboratories" which was delivered by Asst. Lect. Muhammad Qasim Al-Khuzae.
The lecture dealt with six essential axes and aimed to identify basic rules for confronting the challenges and risks resulting by the chemical and biological substances, and how to deal with them and dispose them. It also discussed the methods of confrontation the hazards of fires within the axis of civil defense, as the lecture targeted the labors at the scientific laboratories and the Civil Defense Brigades
Two lectures were conducted during the third day, the first one entitled (security and safety at the chemical labs) delivered by Zahraa A. Abdulwahid from the Environment Department-Thi-Qar. whereas the second lecture was delivered by Dr. Ali Kadhum from the College of Health and Medical Technologies and entitled (safety and security procedures at the scientific labs).
