The Student Activities Dep. at Al-Ayen University in cooperation with the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Difference held the First Forum for General Safety and the Security of Scientific Laboratories on Monday 10/1/2022. Under the slogan ( the role of CBRN in the community) at the University Conference Hall)

The Inaugural session was attended by the University Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shafik Al-Mowla, Vice-Chancellor for Scientific Affairs Asst. Prof. Dr. Haider Marhoon, Dean of College of Dentistry Prof. Dr. Ihsan Al-Khuzaee, Dean of College of Oil Engineering Asst. Prof. Dr. Najih Al-Ali and the Director of Student Affairs and Registration Dep. Asst. Lect. Moataz Salaman Hasan

the Session began by a recitation of holy verses of Quran, the Iraqi National Anthem followed by a speech of the Chancellor in which he stated (recently, there was an excessive use of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear substances and that increases the possibility of accidently and deliberately accidents. Therefore, it became necessary to train the laboratories staffs and related personnel on how to protect themselves and the others when subjected to such accidents)

He explained (it is necessary to clarify the basic management principles of the risks related to the CBRN risks and the related emergency cases of decontamination and establishing and operating a field disinfection area

  He stressed (organizing such classes is vital and aims to improve the efficiency of the related staff for fast and active response for such accidents either at the field level or at their departments )

The first Lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Falah Hasan Hussein from the College of Pharmacy / Babylon University and the Second lecture by Dr. Jabbar Madhy Rashid from College of Sciences / Thi-Qar University. That was the first day of the forum which will last for three days
