The Student Activities Dep. held the Annual Chess Tournament for the students of the University as part of the Department's annual activities. This was a preparation for the Iraqi Universities Tournament to be held by the Student Activities Dep.-Authority of Supervision and Scientific Evaluation in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
The Director of the Student Activities Dep. Dr. Hussein Tuama said (the tournament was participated by all of the Departments and Colleges of the University, in total of 25 students who competed on the top positions in three rounds)
He explained ( the top position of this tournament was awarded to Ali Talib from College of Dentistry, the second position was given to Ali Ridha from College of Health and Medical Technology/ Department of Radiology and Ultrasound Technology, whereas the third position was for the student from the Department of Opticianry Technlgy Mustafa Ali and the fourth position for Mustafa Salim from College of Pharmacy )
He added (the refereeing committee consisted of the Referees Haider Farhan Naseer, Qutaiba Sadiq Yasir and Hasanain Fdhil Naseer
