The College of Pharmacy at Al-Ayen Iraqi University held its first session for the first semester of the 2025–2026 academic year on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. The session was chaired by the Council Chairman, Asst. Prof. Dr. Haider Hamed Abbas, and attended by all College Council members, the Academic Deputy, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Salah El-Din, and the heads of the academic departments.
On its agenda, the Council discussed a number of important topics, most notably the approval of the final exam results for the second semester of the 2024–2025 academic year and the completion of all matters related to the previous academic year.
The study assignments for the new year and the distribution of the teaching load were also approved. Key issues related to the curriculum were also discussed, including updates to the curriculum, new courses, and the activation of the role of the heads of academic departments in following up on teaching and issues specific to their branches.
The Council also discussed the completion of laboratory quality requirements, the approval of plans for the scientific branches, the plans of the Continuing Education Unit, and the Women's Affairs Unit, as well as activities related to student affairs, extracurricular events, plans for the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, and other related topics.
In conclusion of the session, the College of Pharmacy Council wished the students a year full of scientific and academic achievements, reflecting the college's prestigious status.
