The College of Education at Al-Ayen Iraqi University, under joint scientific sponsorship, held its first international scientific conference on the humanities and social sciences at Ferdowsi University in Mashhad, Islamic Republic of Iran, on August 26, 2025, under the logo: "Humanities as Partners in Sustainable Development."

The conference witnessed the participation of several Iraqi universities, including the University of Baghdad, the University of Wasit, and the University of Al-Qadisiyah, along with the Al-Furatayn Foundation for Development and Advancement. The conference included opening remarks, scientific lectures, and research discussion sessions on topics including educational, legal, political, economic, arts, languages, literature, and other fields. Deans, scientific, and organizing committees were honored, and certificates were distributed to participating researchers.

The convening of this conference emphasizes the role of universities and scientific research centers in consolidating the principles of sustainable development and enhancing the position of the humanities and social sciences in serving society and humanity.
