University Media: Adyan Al-Aboudi
Al-Ayen Iraqi University signed a scientific cooperation agreement with the Scientific Research Authority on May 22, 2025, at the Authority's headquarters in Baghdad. This agreement is in line with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's directives to activate the principle of integration and twinning between universities and research institutions.
The agreement was signed on behalf of Al-Ayen University by Deputy Chancellor for Administrative Affairs Asst. Prof. Dr. Atheer Y. Awda, and on behalf of the Commission by its Chairman Prof. Dr. Shafik S. Shafik. The agreement was attended by Scientific Deputy Prof. Dr. Naseer A. Hussein, Dean of Engineering College of Al-Ayen University Prof. Dr. Firas F. Kazim, Dean of the College of Engineering Technology Asst. Prof. Dr. Rafid S. Al-Jubouri, and Professor Dr. Raed Kamel Naji Vice Chairman of the Commission for Scientific Affairs. The agreement includes several provisions aimed at expanding areas of academic cooperation, including joint teaching, training, supervision of graduate students, cooperation in operating laboratories, support for joint research, and exchange of expertise between the Commission and the university, enhancing the quality of research outputs.
The Al-Ayen University delegation expressed the importance of this step in building effective bridges of communication between academic and research institutions, emphasizing that the university places scientific research and staff development at the forefront of its priorities and seeks to consolidate a culture of research and innovation in Iraqi academic institutions.
