The College of Engineering Technology at Al-Ayen University held a scientific workshop on Sunday, April 20, 2025, titled "Detecting Brain Tumor Margins Using PpIX Fluorescence Spectroscopy," presented by Dr. Ali Ahmed Ezzat Shaheen.
The workshop highlighted the latest scientific methods for detecting brain tumor margins using PpIX-based fluorescence spectroscopy. This advanced tool supports surgeons during operations, providing high accuracy in determining tumor margins, which positively impacts treatment outcomes and reduces the likelihood of cancer cells surviving.
The workshop concluded with an interactive discussion session, during which a number of questions and inquiries from the attendees were answered, giving the workshop a rich scientific character that enhanced the value of the information provided.
