On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, Al-Ayen Iraqi University organized the preliminary test for students participating in the second season of the "A Nation Reads" major national reading competition. The competition was launched by the General Secretariat of Al-Hussein Holy Shrine in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and under the direct sponsorship of Al-Hussein Holy Shrine.
The event witnessed the participation of 67 male and female students from various departments and colleges of the university, amidst a competitive academic atmosphere and the presence and direct supervision of a delegation from Al-Hussein Holy Shrine, headed by Mr. Samir Al-Kanani. The delegation was received by the Chancellor of Al-Ayen Iraqi University Asst. Prof. Dr. Haider A. Marhoon.
The competition activities were inaugurated by the Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Naseer Ali Hussein, who emphasized in his speech the importance of these cultural initiatives in promoting a culture of reading and learning among university students and instilling cognitive values in the academic community.
