On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, the Student Activities Unit at the College of Health and Medical Technology held a "Birth of Muhammadan Lights" event to celebrate the birth of Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his honorable reappearance).
The event was distinguished by highlighting the policy of supporting students and enhancing their self-confidence, which is adopted by the Student Activities Unit at the college, in an effort to prepare an aware and creative generation capable of leadership and initiative.
The event was attended by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Muhammad A. Attouf, Head of the Department of Radiology Technolog Dr. Haider S. Najm, and Director of Solidarity School for Orphans Nasser A. Manather.
The event included several segments, starting with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, the recitation of poems to celebrate the occasion, and the reading of the supplication for relief.
A speech by the Dean of the College in which he congratulated the attendees, praising the distinguished organization of the event, and stressing the importance of supporting students in such initiatives that enhance their personal and creative skills.
The event also witnessed a distinguished humanitarian initiative launched by the Director of the Student Activities Unit at the college, Dr. Raad Ajil, where female students from the First Solidarity School for Orphans who have reached the age of legal responsibility were assigned to attend, instead of limiting the invitation to the daughters of professors or other female students, out of belief in the importance of integrating orphans into society and giving them the attention and care they deserve.
