Under the patronage of His Excellency, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the activities of the fifth scientific conference on nanotechnology were launched at the College of Science, Dhi Qar University, where the university participated with a delegation headed by the Deputy Chancellor of the University for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Haider A. Marhoun.
The conference was inaugurated with a speech by the representative of His Excellency, the Minister of Higher Education, President of Sumer University, Prof. Dr. Adel Al-Zarkani, who expressed his thanks and gratitude for the efforts made by those in charge of organizing this qualitative conference. He praised the role of universities in Dhi Qar Province in promoting scientific research and academic development.
The President of Dhi Qar University, Prof. Dr. Kamal Al-Yasiri, also delivered a speech in which he stressed the importance of fruitful cooperation between Dhi Qar University and the National University of Science and Technology, praising the continuous support provided by the latter for all activities of Dhi Qar University.
In a speech by Prof. Dr. Marhoon, who presented some of the university’s achievements, he stressed the importance of the conference as a platform for exchanging ideas and experiences among academics, which contributes to achieving remarkable progress in this vital field.
