Workshop on the impact of the veil on women's mental health at the College of Education / Al-Ayen Iraqi University
The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Education / Al-Ayen University, held a workshop entitled "The veil and its impact on women's mental health" on Sunday, February 2, 2025, in cooperation with the Women's Empowerment Unit, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Sakina Hashim, and presented by the lecturer Assistant Teacher Sara Muhammad Abdul Khader.
The workshop addressed several axes, most notably the role of the veil in enhancing the strength of the veiled woman's personality, and the impact of globalization in reducing the impact of the veil in different societies and cultures. The workshop was also attended by a number of female lecturers who enriched the discussion with their interventions on the topic.
The organization of this workshop comes within the framework of the awareness-raising efforts made by the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit in cooperation with the Women's Empowerment Unit, with the aim of enhancing psychological and educational awareness about issues affecting women and society.
