Under the patronage of the Chancellor of Al-Ayen Iraqi University Prof. Dr. Shafik S. Shafik, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Adnan T. Al-Khafaji, the Department of Internal Medicine, held a distinguished scientific symposium in honor of Prof. Dr. Yahya D. Al-Baaj, a consultant cardiologist and subspecialty in transesophageal echocardiography at Weill Cornell University, USA. The symposium was entitled (High Blood Pressure in Pregnant Women). Prof. Dr. Al-Khafaji also participated in scientific participation to explain how the heart and coronary arteries interact with high blood pressure in pregnant women and how to perform cardiac interventions. It concluded with the awarding of the plaque of Al-Ayen Iraqi University, presented by the Dean, as well as the awarding of certificates of appreciation.
