The Deputy Chancellor of Al-Ayen Iraqi University for Scientific Affairs Asst. Prof. Dr. Haider A. Marhoun, represented the University President on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the central ceremony held by the City Police Headquarter on the occasion of the founding anniversary of the Iraqi Police Day and the 100th anniversary of its founding.
He said, "We congratulate the Iraqi police at 100th anniversary of their founding, this group in whom we see strength and determination despite the challenges they face, and they are steadfast in defending the homeland and preserving its security and stability, and we live in the blessing of security, thanks to their arms."
Dr. Haider added, "Today we celebrate the spirit of courage and sacrifice made by the heroes of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, from members and ranks of the security forces, to ensure the security and stability of citizens. For more than 100 years, the Iraqi police have been a symbol of sacrifice and dedication to serving the community. We appreciate the efforts of the security forces in facing challenges and ensuring the safety of citizens, and we emphasize the importance of enhancing cooperation and joint coordination between the police and the community to build a safe and prosperous homeland, praying to God Almighty for mercy and forgiveness for the martyrs of the security forces and a speedy recovery for the wounded.
