As part of the efforts of the College of Engineering Technology at Al-Ayen Iraqi University AUIQ to implement technical engineering accreditation standards and enhance students' awareness of curricula and their components, the Department organized an introductory workshop on the "Bologna Process System" on Saturday, January 4, 2025. It was supervised and presented by the Head of the Department, Dr. Ahmed N. Nimr.
The workshop reviewed the details of the Bologna Process System, explaining the concept of academic units and their relationship to academic hours and the coding mechanism for academic subjects, in addition to the hours required to complete the courses. The workshop also focused on how to link courses to learning outcomes at the level of the course and academic program in a comprehensive manner, which enhances the consistency between education objectives and its practical outcomes.
It is noteworthy that the workshop witnessed great interaction from students and instructors, as they raised many constructive discussions about the importance of applying this system in improving the quality of engineering education and its outcomes
