On Sunday, December 15, 2024, the Engineering Technical College Board held its regular session, chaired by the Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rafid S. Al-Jabouri, where the Board discussed a number of important topics aimed at developing academic and administrative work in the college.
The Dean began the session by thanking the heads of departments for their fruitful efforts and the distinguished start of the academic year, praising their tireless work and urging them to continue their dedication to transform the college into an integrated educational institution that relies on practical applications and innovation, and is concerned with the guidance and psychological aspects of students.
The Board discussed the university presidency's directives related to the educational process, in addition to preparations for the college's scientific conference. The session included discussing several main axes, most notably:
• Follow-up on the twinning requirements for the departments of medical physics and fuel and energy.
• Preparing for the final exams for second-stage students.
• Approving the names of students hosted from evening study to morning study in the departments of computer engineering and medical device engineering.
• Approval of the scientific department councils submitted by the various departments.
The board also discussed the vision, mission and objectives of both the Computer Engineering Technology and Medical Devices Technology Engineering departments, and the Dean stressed the importance of the new departments’ commitment to the program accreditation standards, ensuring the achievement of correct contexts from the administrative and practical aspects.
The council concluded with the Deanship’s directives on the necessity of cooperation between the teaching staff and students and working to build an integrated educational environment that supports academic and research excellence.
