On Thursday 10/10/2024, the Dean of the College of Law at Al-Ayen Iraqi University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Khaled K. Awda, lectured at the Development and Continuing Education Center at Maysan University, where he addressed the topic of educational design for the second unit in the teaching methods course.
The lecture addressed the importance of educational design as one of the modern prospects that enhance the quality of education, stressing the need for effective planning and implementation of the curriculum. The focus was on a set of main axes that include defining educational goals, choosing appropriate educational materials, and various teaching methods, in addition to means of evaluating the educational curriculum.
The presentation included three main axes:
- The first axis:
It addressed the relationship between educational design and basic concepts such as teaching strategies and different teaching styles.
- The second axis:
Focused on the quality of education and its relationship to the design of curricula and educational programs.
- The third axis:
It presented the theoretical foundations of educational design with simple steps for the design process and how to formulate goals and classify behavioral goals in scientific ways.
The lecture also discussed how to use this information to improve teaching methods, which contributes to providing a better and skilled learning environment for students.
