In an atmosphere filled with sadness, Al-Ayen Iraqi University was honored to raise the flag of Imam Hussein (pbuh), announcing the beginning of the month of sorrow on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (pbuh).
The flag was raised by the forearms of the Chancellor of the University, Prof. Dr. Shafik S. Shafik, in the presence of his Deputy for scientific affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Haider A. Marhoon, and a number of deans of colleges and faculty staff.
Raising the banner of Imam Hussein (pbuh) in the campus of the university has a great spirituality impact on the students and raises the spirit of unity and cohesion among the members of the academic community. Science and knowledge are not complete except with the pure human spirit, and this is the true translation of raising the banner of Imam Hussein (pbuh) on the university campus.
