With pride and glory, under the generous patronage of His Excellency Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and under the distinguished supervision of the Chancellor of Al-Ayen Iraqi University Prof. Dr. Shafik S. Shafik, the first Mirbad Al-Ayen Scientific Conference, was inaugurated in a joyful ceremony held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, in Al-Nasiriyah Park. .
The inauguration witnessed a distinguished presence of universities' presidents, including the President of Dhi Qar University Prof. Dr. Yahya A. Al-Khafaji, the President of Sumer University Prof. Dr. Adel Radi Al-Zarkani, and the Dean of Mazaya College Prof. Dr. Imad Ibrahim Daoud. The ceremony was also attended by First Deputy Governor Mr. Razzak Kashish and the Second Deputy Mr. Majid H. Al-Atabi, in addition to members of the Governorate Council, Mr. Ahmed N. Al-Rumaid, Mrs. Rawasi Karim, Deans of colleges and professors.

The first Mirbad Al-Ayen Scientific Festival, which was held in Al Nasiriyah Park, included more than 140 exhibitions and activities from various colleges of the university, reflecting the diversity and academic richness of the university.
