The Chancellor's Assistants of Al-Ayen Iraqi University for Scientific Affairs Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haider A. Marhoon, and for Administrative Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atheer Y. Odeh, and the Deputy Dean of the College of Dentistry Prof. Dr. Naseer A. Hussein conducted an inspection tour to review the final preparations for opening the University Teaching Hospital.
The seven floor hospital consists of 200 beds and is equipped with the highest specifications and the latest medical devices and equipment, including 11 operating theatres. The two university president’s assistants stressed on the importance of this project, which will provide distinguished medical services to the people of Dhi Qar Province and will provide an educational advanced environment for students of the Faculty of Medicine at the university.
They added, "The hospital will contribute to reducing the burden on government hospitals in the province, and will provide new job opportunities for medical and nursing staff." This step comes within the framework of the University’s efforts to develop its educational and health services and achieve its vision of being one of the best universities in Iraq.
