Riyad Abbas Jaber is a second stage student of the Department of Computer Technologies /Technical Engineering College, presented a lecture on the biometric attendance system under the supervision of the Head of the Department Dr. Moudi Lafta, and in the presence of a number of college teaching staff on Monday, April 17, 2023.
The project included designing a biometric attendance system based on a fingerprint sensor using Arduino. Biometric attendance systems are widely used systems with wide and multiple applications in practical life, colleges, companies, and business organizations.
This project was developed by adding a QR barcode reader through which attendance is recorded via the employee or student's barcode. When displaying the barcode in front of the lens, it takes the complete data of the student with the time and date.
The aim of the project is directly record the student's attendance before entering the classroom, and that registration is through the students' university IDs, as their attendance is recorded automatically by dispensing the attendance sheet, and this method will be more secure and accurate.
