On Monday, March 20, 2023, Al-Ayen University received the British Royal College team headed by Professor Abdul Majeed Al Selmassi and Professor Dhikra Al Wattar for the purpose of accrediting the College of Medicine and the University Teaching Hospital as an examination center for the preliminary and final examinations of the British Royal College.
The team was received by the President of Al-Ayen University, Prof. Dr. Shafik Al-Mawla, the Vice-President of the University for Scientific Affairs the Associate Professor Dr. Haider A. Marhoon, the Vice-President for Administrative Affairs the Associate Professor Dr. Rafid S. Al-Jubouri, the Dean of the College of Medicine Prof. Dr. Adnan Al-Taan, and the Head of the Medicine Branch / Al-Ayen University, Mudar Z. Al-Khairallah.
The delegation, represented by Professor Salmassi and Professor Dhikra Al Wattar, expressed their high admiration for the scientific capabilities, infrastructure, and the level of teaching staff and students in this young College of Medicine, promising to provide all facilities for the purpose of making the College of Medicine / Al-Ayen University, among the international colleges.
It is noteworthy that the College of Medicine of Al-Ayen University, participated in the final preliminary exam for the British Fellowship, MRCP mock paces exam, which was held last week at Al-Farouq Hospital in Sulaymaniyah and Al-Kafeel Hospital in Karbala, represented by the Dean of the College of Medicine Prof. Dr. Adnan Al-Taan and the Head of Medicine Department the Consultant Dr. Muthar Al-Khair who managed the two exams with high professionalism success, which were held for the first time in the history of Iraq.
The head of the team, Salmassi, confirmed that the final preliminary British fellowship exam will take place next October in the College of Medicine, and the hospital of Al-Ayen University, in cooperation with the Dhi Qar College of Medicine.
At the end of the meeting, the President of Al Ain University, Dr. Shafik Al-Mawla honored the team with the Al-Ayen Medal for Creativity, wishing them success in their work and promising to facilitate all logistical procedures for such great scientific achievements that serve the whole country.
