The College of Dentistry held the second edition of scientific awareness exhibitions on oral and dental health at the university stadium in the presence of the President of Al Ain University, Dr. Shafiq Shaker Shafiq Al-Mawla, Assistant Professor for Scientific Affairs Dr. Haider Abdul Amir Marhoon, and Dean of the College of Dentistry Dr. Ihsan Abdullah Kamel Al-Khuzaie, members of the University Council.
The exhibition supervisor, Dr. Firdous Alaa El-Din, said that the students of the third stage, including the Microbiology branch, were in the upper class, as the exhibition dealt with several important topics: - The microbial ecosystem in the microbial environment. The mouth, including its stages of development, the positive and negative biological cycle, combating bacterial infection, and the preventive measures adopted to avoid infection within dental clinics.
It also addresses the use of antibiotics in human medicine clinics, the mechanism of action of antibiotics, natural and acquired bacterial resistance to antibiotics, its causes, mechanisms of action, and their effects on diagnosis and treatment methods, in addition to dealing with oral immunity: the expansion of the components of the immune system, the lines of defense and their levels inside the mouth and inside the teeth, and common bacterial infections and diseases. Common bacterial and viral infections inside the mouth and the systemic diseases that cause them. Common clinic infections and methods of treating them. Avoid them in dental clinics and their risks to the mouth and body.
