Al-Ayen University Scout Troop organized a trip for a number of members of the roaming teams, guides, and members of the teaching staff of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences to the ancient city of Ur.
The head of the Scouting Division at the University, Asst. Lect. Habib Abdullah said, “Excursions are one of the basics of Scouting life, where it is understood only by those who believe in it. Scouting is a tent of goodness in which the boy sips cups of manhood and smells the incense of loyalty.”
He added, "The outdoor trip is one of the most important scouting programs that satisfies the scout's needs in terms of excitement, fun, adventure, exploration, and practical practice of outdoor life, as a number of scouts organize and implement it on foot to one of the prairies, parks, countryside of villages, or archaeological areas."
