The Vice-President of the University for Scientific Affairs Asst. Prof. Dr. Haider A. Marhoon, Dean of Petroleum Engineering College Asst. Prof. Dr. Najih Y. Al-Ali and Dr. Muhammad I. Almosawi received the Deputy Director of Dhi-Qar Oil Co. Eng. Kareem Y. Hashim who was accompanied by Eng. Haider L. Abdulridha.
The purpose of the visit was to review the Petroleum Engineering College to promote the academic and applied scientific cooperation with the aim of linking the academic institutions with oil sectors. A tour was conducted on the reservoir engineering laboratories to review their modern devices and the experiments that can be carried out in the field of secondary oil extraction, increasing the profit factor, possibility of conducting studies and researches and holding joint workshops between the two institutions
