Under the sponsorship of AstraZeneca Pharmaceutical Company, the Scientific Affairs Division and the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Medicine, Al-Ayen Iraqi University held a scientific symposium entitled "Heart Failure", on Sunday, December 8, 2024, in the University Hospital Hall at the College of Medicine.
The symposium was lectured by the Dean of the College Prof. Dr. Adnan T. Al-Khafaji Consultant Cardiologist and Catheter Intervention, and Dr. Ismail Abdul Jalil Al-Sawz Consultant Cardiologist and Catheter Intervention from the Nasiriyah Heart Center.
The session was chaired by Consultant Dr. Mudar Z. Al-Khairallah, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine at the College of Medicine, Al-Ayen University and the University Hospital, with the attendance of a number of professors from the College of Medicine and the University Hospital at the College of Medicine, Al-Ayen University.
The symposium aims to highlight the causes of heart failure and discuss modern methods of treating it according to the latest medical developments.
In conclusion, the Deputy Chancellor for Administrative Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Athir Y. Awda presented certificates of appreciation to the lecturers and the company organizing the symposium in recognition of their distinguished efforts and contribution to the success of the scientific event.
