Within the framework of enhancing academic cooperation and exchanging scientific expertise, the Dean of the College of Engineering at Al-Ayen Iraqi University, Prof. Dr. Firas Faiq Kazim visited the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad and the College of Engineering at Al-Nahrain University on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. The visit focused on discussing several important topics in the field of engineering education, most notably the exchange of scientific expertise and the curriculum according to twinning between colleges, in addition to discussing the organization of joint exams between colleges.
The details of the scientific conference that will be held at the College of Engineering at Al-Ayen Iraqi University were also discussed, where the latest developments in the field of engineering and modern technologies will be discussed, within the framework of enhancing academic cooperation between universities and academic institutions.
The organization of field visits and mutual workshops between colleges was discussed, with the aim of developing students' practical skills and enhancing educational benefit. The agreement between the colleges was also renewed, stressing the importance of continuing to enhance this cooperation due to its positive impact on developing the academic level.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. Firas Faiq Kazim and Head of the Petroleum Department at the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad spoke about the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), emphasizing its significant role in supporting and developing the skills of students and professionals in the field of oil and energy, and encouraging cooperation between universities and global industrial institutions. At the end of the visit, Prof. Dr. Firas Faiq Kazim congratulated the Head of the Petroleum Department at the College of Engineering, Asst. Prof. Dr. Samira Muhammad Hamad Allah at the University of Baghdad on the occasion of her appointment as Head of the Department, wishing her success in her new duties.
