Along with the Third International Scientific Conference of Al-Ayen University, the College of Pharmacy held its annual exhibition for medicines and medical plants on Thursday 4/11/2021. The event was attended by the Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr. Shafik S. Al-Mowla, the Dean of the Institute of Technology Prof. Dr. Khawam Raisan Hussein, the General Director of Thi-Qar Education Directorate Prof. Mohammed Lafta, Deans of the Colleges and a number of teachers and employees. The exhibition was held at the courtyard of the University.
The exhibition was directly supervised by the Deputy Dean of College of Pharmacy the Pharmacist Dr. Mazen Abdul Ghani and the Pharmacist Zahraa Basim. The Students of third stage participated by over 15 medical plants, showing the method of extracting the medicine out of them and the treatment benefits of each extract
The exhibition aims to identify the method of extracting active materials out of the medical plants and to identify the importance of those materials. Note that the extracted materials defer according to the types of plants used. those medical plants are gifted by the nature and therefore we have to take care of them and work to improve them.
