The Chanceller Al-Ayen Iraqi University (AUIQ) Prof. Dr. Shafik S. Shafik, his assistant for scientific affairs Assist. Prof. Dr. Haider A. Marhoon, his assistant for Administrative Affairs Assist. Prof. Dr. Atheer Y. Odeh, and the Dean of the College of Medicine Prof. Dr. Adnan T. Al-Khafaji, participated in the central celebration held by the College of Medicine at the University Dhi Qar for obtaining international accreditation from the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME), in the presence of the Governor of Dhi Qar, Mr. Mortada Al-Ibrahimi, the Director General of Dhi Qar Health, and a number of directors of health departments in the governorate.
The celebration was inaugurated with a welcome speech by the University’s President. During which he welcomed the distinguished guests, and congratulating the Dean of the College of Medicine, its professors, and all its employees and students, pointing out that the university has worked continuously to provide the necessary requirements for accreditation and application of international standard specifications, and to adopt the most appropriate methods for applying the latest scientific and technical standards, with the aim of reaching the prestigious international level that befits it and its heritage. In line with the vision to move to a new stage by placing the university’s colleges and their various specializations in the ranks of international universities.
In conclusion, the delegation congratulats the President of Dhi Qar University Prof. Dr. Yahya Abdel Reda, and the Dean of the College of Medicine Prof. Dr. Wajdi Jabbar for this achievement, which is credited to Dhi Qar Governorate, and presented a bouquet to the Dean of the College of Medicine at Dhi Qar University.
