As part of a series of forums and meetings conducted by the Presidency of Al-Ayen Iraqi University for the current academic year, it met with the Iraqi and foreign teaching staff of the college represented by the Deputies Chancellor of the University for Scientific and Administrative Affairs Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haider A. Marhoon, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atheer Y. Odeh, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Engineering Technical College Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rafid S. Abboud .
The meeting included a discussion of several topics related to the progress of the educational process and ways to support the college to make its work successful. The teaching staff provided a number of observations about the college, starting with identifying the obstacles facing the college and how to mitigate difficulties with regard to teaching and administrative work and upgrading the level of students. The university presidency also expressed great interest in Strategies followed by the college administration and staffs, noting the importance of adding distinctive competencies and experiences of foreign staff and the necessity of making the most of what is offered in several aspects, including the research aspect, student creativity, student activities, and pioneering and innovative projects.
For its part, the university presidency praised the efforts made by the teaching and administrative staff and stressed the full support for the productive colleges, which are the basis for the growth and development of students’ capabilities, since the student is the basic building block for building society starting from the university.
