The representative of the Al-Ayen Iraqi University Dean of the College of Law Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khaled K. Odeh, along with his accompanying delegation represented by Prof. Dr. Jalal S. Jabr, attended with prominent participation and an effective role on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, the opening of a rehabilitation center for drug addicts in Dhi Qar Governorate, as an embodiment for a sincere commitment to combating the drug scourge and reintegrating addicts into society.
This step comes within a series of tireless efforts made by officials and institutions in Iraq in general and the Al-Ayen Iraqi University in particular to combat the spread of drugs and their negative impact on society.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khaled K. Odeh pointed out the importance of the role of universities in this context, noting their commitment to providing support and assistance to combat drugs and rehabilitate addicts. In conclusion, the university representative stressed the necessity of the contributions of universities in general and the Al-Ayen Iraqi University in particular and their role in combating drugs to preserve young people, saving them out of this dark tunnel, and building a bright future for them, stressing that the opening of the rehabilitation center represents a step towards restoring hope and life to addicts.
