On December 2, 2023, the College of Dentistry received the biological security and safety procedures evaluationteam, which consists of representatives of the National Oversight Authority, the Ministers Presidency Office, the Iraqi National Security Service, Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The team had a field toure in the college’s scientific laboratories and the clinics of the Specialized Dental Teaching Hospital and was briefed on the bilogical security and safety procedures and measures in the laboratories and clinics, ascorted by the Deputy Dean of the College Prof. Dr. Naseer A. Jassim, and a number of faculty members and associates.
This visit comes with biological security and safety procedures and measures in laboratories and sites related to biological activities for the purpose of implementing the National Monitoring Commission Law No. 48 of 2012 and fulfilling Iraq’s international obligations towards baning of Biological and Toxic Weapons, developing work, and enhancing awareness for laboratory labors in the field of risk management.
