Al-Ayen University participated in the adopting and releasing of the academic accreditation standards of dental colleges in Iraq. That was achieved through nominating the Dean of the Dentistry College at the University Asst.Prof Dr. Ihsan Al-Khuzaie to be a member at the Council for Quality Improvement and academic accreditation of the Colleges of dentistry in Iraq, which includes 13 Deans out of 62 members. The Council conducted an extensive discussion of the accreditation criteria over a period of more than six months, ended with the finalization of the standards in accordance with international standards, which were approved by the Ministery of Higher Education and Scientific Research considering this a major achievement in a record period. The criteria were released through a ceremony in the conference hall of the College of Medicine under the auspices of His Excellency the Minister and the Head of the Supervisory Service and the President of Baghdad University.
